Dudley darts ace Tom Bissell has faced a bit of a baptism of fire as he takes his first steps on the PDC Tour.

Bissell came through PDC Qualifying School last month to give himself entry into several PDC tournaments this year.

And after winning through two preliminary rounds of the PDC World Masters, he was beaten by Belgian former World Championship quarter-finalist Kim Huybrechts in Milton Keynes.

Bissell has then entered in the first two Players Championship events of the year, going down 6-1 to eventual semi-finalist Andrew Gilding in the first event, before losing by the same scoreline to Krzysztof Ratajski in the second. The Pole went on to reach the quarter-finals of that event.
