Mat Sadler hails Walsall's "resilience" after important Chesterfield win

Mat Sadler praised Walsall's resilience after they came from behind to end their five-match winless run with a 3-1 victory over Chesterfield at Bescot.

Walsall struggled in the first half and fell behind inside the opening eight minutes when Chesterfield skipper Jamie Grimes was left completely unmarked to head Dylan Duffy's cross into the far corner. 

Harry Williams made two vital last-ditch blocks to prevent Chesterfield from extended their advantage and Luton Town loanee Bim Pebble squandered a golden chance from Duffy's low delivery.

The Saddlers emerged after the break with a renewed energy and confidence, as quickfire goals from Jamille Matt and Ellis Harrison propelled them into the lead. 

Substitute Levi Amantchi put the seal on the win deep into 10 minutes of stoppage time to help Walsall climb eight points clear at the top.
