The Baggies were a distant second best in front of their own supporters last time out against Blackburn and fans travelling down to the capital will hope to see a much-improved performance.
Eight places separate sixth-placed Albion and Alex Neil's Lions, in 14th, but Saturday's hosts trail by just seven points - and boast a game in hand.
Mowbray has a multitude of decisions to make ahead of the clash at The Den.
The first and potentially most clear is between the sticks. Joe Wildsmith won the nod over Josh Griffiths last weekend and responded with a fine display against Sheffield Wednesday to help claim three points.
He was unconvincing in the midweek defeat to Blackburn, however, for Makhtar Gueye's first goal in particular as the volley seemed to go through Wildsmith's grasp.
Mowbray will decide whether to stick with Wildsmith, who has been a valued ever-present at the training ground since Mowbray's appointment last month, or hand the recalled Griffiths a route into the first team in the melting pot in Millwall.
My predicted side below contains Griffiths, which would be a big call from the Baggies head coach.
