Still only 38, Ian Cathro has coached at two Premier League clubs, in La Liga, Scotland and Saudi Arabia.

Last year he took over at Portuguese top flight outfit Estoril - and this season has been making some impression.

He has taken his side on an impressive run of five league wins to start the year - the first time it has happened since 1948/49.

It has earned the Scottish coach, who served closely with Nuno at a number of clubs, the manager of the month away for January, as voted for by his peers.

It is only Cathro's second job as a manager, with much of his work being as a coach and a lot of that time spent at Wolves.

He worked in Spain alongside Nuno, before an unsuccessful six month spell with Hearts in Scotland.

Cathro was sacked and spent a year out, before moving to Wolves where he was appointed first team coach at the age of just 32.

He helped guide Wolves back to the Premier League and enjoy successful campaigns in the top flight and their famous run in the Europa League.

After leaving Wolves and joining Tottenham, Nuno took his trusted ally with him.

The job did not last long as Nuno was dismissed, before Cathro was again working alongside the former Wolves man at Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.
