The 21-year-old Danish attacking midfielder checked into The Hawthorns on deadline day at the start of this month in a deal worth around £3.3million.

He made the switch from Denmark top flight minnows Randers after just a single campaign with the side that finished in third and secured impressive European qualification.

It has been quite the rise for Bany, who is of Palestine heritage. He was previously playing for B.93 in the Danish second tier but has enjoyed a huge rise over the last 12 months and reportedly attracted interest from around the globe. He was paraded in front of the home faithful prior to last Saturday's win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Bany has not featured for Albion yet as he gets up to speed following a post-season in Denmark with a potential first availability at Millwall this weekend.

We caught up with Danish football expert Toke Theilade, editor of VilfortPark.dk, for the lowdown on what Bany could bring Albion.

What was your immediate reaction to Tammer’s transfer to West Bromwich Albion?

TT: There was a level of shock and surprise. Bany has done a really good job at Randers, and definitely deserves this.
