Harriers came from behind to hold leaders Chester to a 1-1 draw at the Deva Stadium on Tuesday night to sit in seventh in National League North, but with games in hand on all the sides above them.

Ashley Hemmings grabbed Kidderminster's equaliser after Harrison Burke had given the hosts a sixth-minute lead.

And boss Brown said: "We're not in a rich vein of form at the moment, but we've shown enough character to be in the next rich vein of form and hopefully that will come on Saturday."

Brown admitted his side struggled to get to grips with the quick pace of the Deva Stadium pitch in the opening minutes, falling behind to Burke's header from a left-wing corner.

But Kidderminster slowly gained control of the midfield battle and levelled when Amari Morgan-Smith caused havoc in the Chester penalty area and Hemmings tucked the ball into the net from a yard out.

"It was all about the battle and I think that's what we did, we battled in the second half and and showed a lot of character," said Brown, who also praised the travelling fans.

He added: "We know we've got a decent club, we know we've got decent support, we've just got to give them something back and I think we did."

Meanwhile, Rushall Olympic suffered a crucial 3-1 defeat in a six-pointer at relegation rivals Marine that saw them slip to second from bottom, two points adrift of safety.

All the goals were scored in the final 10 minutes of the match, with Kian Ryley on target for the Pics.

And Hednesford Town are out of the Birmingham Senior Cup after losing to National League side Solihull Moors in the third round of the competition.

Zidan Sutherland's equaliser was sandwiched between two Tyler Bruck goals as the Pitmen were beaten 2-1 at Keys Park.
