The deadline day signing was a second half substitute as Wolves beat Blackburn in the FA Cup fourth round.

And the Zimbabwean was beaming after making his debut for the club following a £15million move from French club Reims.

He said: “I'm so delighted, because it has been a dream come true for me, representing a big club like Wolves, and what a way to start.

"The guys had already done the most difficult job, to take the lead, and I was just there to do my small part.

“It has been very easy because everybody's very kind, everybody's been willing to lend a hand and assist me in getting comfortable, so it hasn't been that difficult.

“From the coaching staff to the players, they're so kind, so it has just been about getting to know the system and getting to know how we play, but everything else has been very good.”

Munetsi is now set to get his first taste of the Premier League as Wolves travel to league leaders Anfield at the weekend.

The trip to Ewood Park on Sunday was Munetsi's first experience of English football and a loud Wolves away end.

He added: “In France, we do have some supporters, but here, I always hear about the amazing supporters in England, and now at Wolves, I really felt it.

“It gives you that drive, even though it was 80 minutes, 90 minutes, you keep on going, so I was just able to appreciate the love that they gave me."

The midfielder was impressed with how Wolves controlled Championship side Blackburn to secure back-to-back wins and clean sheets.

Wolves will now visit Bournemouth in the fifth round of the competition, with a quarter-final spot up for grabs.

Munetsi said: “The manager said from the beginning that it's not going to be easy. They are very good team, especially with set-pieces, and he spoke about being calm and finding the right moments to attack.

“The guys managed to do that in the first half to kill off the game, and I think we managed to control it in the second half, we managed to keep the ball. We could have had a couple of more goals in the second half, but we are delighted with what we could get.”
