In total, Walsall made seven new signings, with Elicha Ahui heading back on loan to fellow Trivela-owned outfit Drogheda United for the remainder of 2025.
Here, we reflect on Walsall's transfer window overall and the impact it could have for them on the pitch between now and the end of the season.
Lowe blow
The biggest talking point of the January transfer window was undoubtedly the recall of top scorer Nathan Lowe by Stoke City midway into the month.
There was always a fear that Walsall may be stung by a winter recall for the third year in a row and that proved a reality just over 24 hours after a club record-breaking eighth successive league win against Tranmere Rovers.
Lowe scored 18 goals in all competitions and set-up seven more, and had been directly involved in 38 per cent of Walsall's league tally of 52 at the time.
Replacing those numbers was always going to be difficult, but Walsall have tried.
