The 21-year-old Zimbabwe international has made the switch after briefly returning to Wolves following a disappointing loan at Championship side Derby County.

Chirewa battled with injury in the first half of the season and made just six appearances in all competitions.

The forward was signed from Ipswich for just £175,000 in the summer of 2023 and enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2023/24 under Gary O'Neil, making 10 senior appearances, including eight in the Premier League, before joining Wolves' pre-season tours of Spain and America.

Last summer he then extended his contract until 2028 before joining Derby on a season-long loan that was cut short in January.

Chirewa was named on the bench for Wolves' top flight win over Villa on the weekend, but did not play any minutes.

He has now moved to Huddersfield in the league below to gain more valuable experience, with the team sitting fifth in the division and seeking promotion.

Chirewa joins fellow Wolves loanees Joe Hodge and Nigel Lonwijk at the Terriers.
