The London club have been interested in a move for Cundle all month and had an initial bid rejected last week, before finally agreeing a deal with Wolves, that also includes add-ons, on Thursday.

Cundle travelled to the capital to have his medical yesterday and has now put pen to paper on the move, which will see him leave Wolves after 10 years at the club.

The 22-year-old almost left in the summer but stayed after an impressive pre-season, before then failing to play a single minute for the first team.

Fellow Championship sides Swansea and Bristol City were also interested in him, but it was Millwall that acted quickest to get the deal over the line.

Cundle joined Wolves' academy in 2014 and rose through the ranks by captaining both the under-18s and under-21s, before making his senior debut aged 17 in the Carabao Cup against Reading in September 2019.

He then broke into the first team under Bruno Lage in the second half of the 2021/22 season and was later rewarded with a new contract until 2026.

He has since had loan spells at Swansea, Plymouth and Stoke and he came close to leaving the club on a number of occasions.

Cundle has now left the club permanently to enjoy a fresh start at Millwall.
