'The cup run can help our promotion push' - Phil Brown's Kidderminster three wins from Wembley
Kidderminster Harriers boss Phil Brown is hoping his side can carry their FA Trophy form into their 'priority' promotion push.
Even with the prospect of a Wembley appearance just three wins away, the target for Brown is to regain Kidderminster's National League status.
Harriers welcome Sutton United - who were relegated from League Two last season - to Aggborough tomorrow and will battle for a spot in the FA Trophy quarter finals.
After a 4-0 thrashing over Slough Town during the previous round, Brown hopes Kidderminster's cup success can continue and help them achieve their number one goal.
"It's the occasion more than anything else," Brown said he was looking forward to. "People talk about the size of games and this that and the other, but as you get to the latter stages of cup competitions the games always get bigger and more important.
"The importance I will attach with this game is that I firmly believe that if we can continue in the cup, I believe that we will keep our positive frame of mind with regards to the league form.
"The most important part of this season is to get promotion, I have never pulled any punches with regards to that this is going to be the main priority.
"But, I always look forward to cup teams, playing against opposition from higher divisions, and to pitch your wits as a manager against them but most importantly ass a player.
"I used to love these occasions and it doesn't matter what level you are playing, or managing, there is always somebody in a higher division, always somebody better and that is what we are up against.
"A big team is coming into town. it is a great home draw for us, we have had some great ones already and shown everybody what we can do, regardless of where the opposition is from.
"So I am really looking forward to it and it is an important game to keep the momentum going and one we are looking forward to see if we can apply our trade against better opposition."
Harriers sit third in the National League North, five points adrift of leaders Chester. Meanwhile, Rushall Olympic have the chance to claw themselves out of the relegation zone, visiting Curzon Ashton.
Rushall have won four of their last six league matches under new boss Richard Sneekes and are level on 25 points with fellow strugglers Warrington Town and Radcliffe.
Elsewhere, in the thrilling Southern Central Premier, fourth-placed Halesowen Town host Bishop's Stortford while Stourbridge welcome Hitchin Town.
