Maher has recently recovered from an ankle injury which curtailed his one-month loan spell at National League side Tamworth in December.
The Walsall academy graduate, who only turned 20 last month, has made eight appearances in all competitions for the Saddlers this term.
However, he has been restricted to just two outings from the bench in League Two during the current campaign, with both coming back in August.
On Maher, Sadler said: "We want to finish on Monday, see what the squad looks like after that and then we'll assess people like Ronan's situation after that. That'll be the plan."
Maher made three appearances for Tamworth, scoring his only goal in their famous 1-1 draw against League One side Burton Albion in the FA Cup second round.
Elsewhere, Charlton Athletic loanee Nathan Asiimwe and Evan Weir were handed minutes from the bench at Bradford City.
Rico Browne is still awaiting his League Two debut after making three appearances in the EFL Trophy.
And Sadler insists there is likely to be first team chances for all three of them.
"That's why they're here, to play and be ready when their time is called upon," the Walsall boss continued.
"Those guys have to be ready (Weir and Asiimwe). Rico is the same, for when his time is called upon because you never know when it's your time to take over the mantle."
