That was very much the message from the camp as Mat Sadler attempts to turn the tide following back-to-back defeats at Bradford City and Fleetwood Town respectively.
Despite suffering successive setbacks, Walsall still boast a nine-point lead at the League Two summit, with games in hand over second-place Doncaster Rovers and Crewe Alexandra in fourth spot.
Next, Walsall welcome Salford City to Bescot searching for a seventh home league win on the spin for the first time since October 2007.
Key frontman Jamille Matt remains a doubt but is "fighting to be fit" ahead of the weekend, which could mean that Sadler is left with the same attacking options that have featured in the past two games.
Ethan Wheatley made his full debut at Fleetwood on Tuesday following his cameo from the bench at Valley Parade, after signing on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.
And when asked if supporters can expect any further incomings, the Walsall boss remarked: "We're active but I won't be doing anything that I think is the wrong thing to do.
"I've been really pleased with the signing of Nathan (Asiimwe), I'm really pleased with the signing of Ethan (Wheatley).
"We wanted to come out of the month stronger. That's our aim, that's our goal. I know I've already got a fantastic squad which has been seen and tested, and which has gone through a hell of a lot already.
"There have been frustrations along the journey, probably the same as it was in the summer. You are at a whim of waiting for little bits and pieces to pop up and then green lights to get going on stuff.
"We're active but I think it's important to say that I won't be taking for granted every player that we've got in here who run through brick walls every day.
"So if nothing happens then no problem. We'll go with that and we'll attack the next part of the season."
Amid concerns over the attacking options, Josh Gordon was a bright spark off the bench at Fleetwood as he continues to edge closer to full match fitness.
The striker has made three appearances from the bench in the past four games since making his comeback from a four-month spell on the side lines due to a hamstring injury.
After stepping up his minutes in recent weeks, Sadler feels that Gordon is now in "contention" for a starting place.
He added: "Josh was probably a little bit ahead of schedule when he came back at Peterborough a couple of weeks ago, which is really good.
"Now he is in a place where he feels he is fit and firing. He certainly comes into contention and it's great to have him back."
Elsewhere, defenders Donervon Daniels (calf) and Priestley Farquharson and midfield pair Jack Earing (ankle) and George Hall (hamstring) are still unavailable for the foreseeable future.
