The 20-year-old, who joined Wolves on loan in the summer with the option to make it permanent for around £11million, has struggled for game time this season.
The deal will automatically become a permanent one if Forbs plays a certain number of games, but he has only managed nine Premier League appearances and one start since returning to England.
Forbs has only made three brief substitute appearances in the last two months and last featured on January 6, having failed to impress head coach Vitor Pereira.
