Jamille Matt was forced off in the 3-0 defeat at Bradford City on Saturday after suffering a first half knock. While Sadler does not expect his injury to be serious, it does still cast doubt over his availability ahead of their midweek trip to Lancashire.
Danny Johnson was handed a rare chance in the side as Matt's replacement but left little to be desired during his 62-minute showing at Valley Parade.
Aside from his penalty miss, Johnson lacked energy in the press and cut a frustrated figure on a disappointing afternoon for the Saddlers.
Josh Gordon was perhaps a more viable option stylistically although there are still question marks over his match sharpness following four months out with a hamstring injury.
With that in mind, Ethan Wheatley may view the trip to Fleetwood as an ideal opportunity for him to make his mark.
The 19-year-old arrived on loan from Premier League giants Manchester United on Saturday morning to bolster Walsall's attacking ranks in the wake of Nathan Lowe's recall by Stoke City.
Albert Adomah has been Matt's preferred partner since Lowe's departure and is likely to retain his place despite a quiet afternoon in Bradford.
The rest of the team seems pretty straightforward. Sadler is unlikely to ring the changes after a single defeat and will want to keep confidence levels high after a run of 16 league matches without defeat prior to the weekend.
That means Tommy Simkin is set to be between the sticks, with the regular back-three of David Okagbue, Harry Williams and Taylor Allen.
Connor Barrett and Liam Gordon have been ever-presents at wing-back and Ryan Stirk has also started every league game in deep-lying midfield role.
Jamie Jellis missed the Bradford game due to illness and his absence was felt. He still remains a doubt which means Oisin McEntee and Charlie Lakin are both poised to retain their places in the two advanced midfield slots.
Predicted XI (3-1-4-2): Simkin; Okagbue, Williams, Allen; Stirk; Barrett, McEntee, Lakin, L Gordon; Wheatley, Adomah.
Subs: Hornby, Weir, Comley, Jellis, Matt, J Gordon, Johnson
