Alex Palmer 7
Came under pressure early on but cleared his lines well. After that early pressure he had very little to do. Almost gifted Portsmouth a goal in the second half with a loose pass out but the danger was snuffed out.
Darnell Furlong 8
Superb display from the full back who was disappointing in midweek. Solid defensively, hardly got caught and going forward he had a top game. His cut back cross led to the opener, and it was his forward pass that found Wallace to kick off the third goal. Impressive afternoon.
Mason Holgate 7
Misjudged a header early on but after that he was steady, albeit with Portsmouth offering very little following the first Albion goal. Always confident playing out from the back and it was his awareness and raking pass that set Diangana through for the crucial fourth goal.
Torbjorn Heggem 7
Solid and steady from the reliable Heggem. Made a couple of key tackles early on but like the other defenders he was rarely tested after that. A poor back header sold Palmer short in the second half, but Heggem got back well to rectify his own mistake.
Callum Styles 8
Defensively was much better than Tuesday night, winning some key headers and getting his foot on. Offensively, he was involved in so much. He has struck up a really good partnership with Johnston down the left. Got forward at every opportunity, and had an effort blocked late in the game.
