Walsall came from behind to eventually cruise to a 4-2 victory over MK Dons on Saturday as they extended their club record winning streak to nine league games.

Williams was among the scorers, with David Okagbue, Liam Gordon and Albert Adomah also finding the net at Bescot.

While Williams is pleased with the recent record, the 22-year-old is still targeting more clean sheets after a rare run of three league games without one.

He said: "It's a great record and hopefully we can keep it going. We conceded two today (against MK Dons) so for me and the defenders, we'll look back on that.

"It's not nice conceding goals but we'll reflect on it and we'll get better at that.

"We're never the finished article. It's important to recognise where you can improve. It's brilliant that we're winning games so hopefully we can continue doing that but if we get back to keeping clean sheets then that helps too.

"It's about keeping level headed and staying humble. Every game is still really though and we're going to have a target on our backs now.

"We just need to continue focusing, keep staying grounded and just go out there and do our job."

Walsall have scored a league high 52 goals, 11 more than any other team in the division, with eight different goal scorers across the past two matches.

And Williams is eager to keep chipping in on the goal scoring front after extending his season tally to three.

He concluded: "I'm really pleased and if I can chip in with a couple more between now and the end of the season that would be brilliant."
