The 17-year-old from Enville is in familiar territory, having won the 2024 Spanish Boys’ Amateur Championship.

Bolton is joined by Eliot Baker, Daniel Hayes, Tom Osborne, Dylan Shaw-Radford and Charlie Rusbridge to compete in the eight-team tournament at the end of January.

England Men’s performance manager Ben Gorvett said: “It will be a competitive week with a host of talented players and coming up against nations from around Europe will always fuel a desire to perform well.

“It will test the players in a match play format which is a great way to kickstart 2025, a year that includes the World Amateur Team Championship and the Walker Cup.”

Bolton’s other achievements last year include winning the Boys’ & Girls’ Home Internationals, a silver medal at European Boys’ Team Championship and a third-place finish at the German Boys’ Open and Peter McEvoy Trophy.

England last won the competition in 2020, having won it five times prior since the inaugural event in 2001.

Teams compete in two groups of four, with the winner of each group facing each other in the Championship final on January 25.
