Interim boss Chris Brunt reckons there is no reason why Albion's prospective boss cannot match Carlos Corberan's efforts in making the play-offs.

Brunt, Damia Abella and Boaz Myhill are set to oversee the final game of their caretaker spell against Stoke at The Hawthorns on Saturday - with former title-winning boss Tony Mowbray believed to be set for an emotional return.
Following the Stoke clash the trio will have led seven fixtures, six in the league, and aside from a tough FA Cup tie at Bournemouth have so far managed a respectable points return given the difficult sudden nature of Carlos Corberan's exit.
Brunt has stressed repeatedly he sees The Hawthorns hotseat as one of the best available jobs in the country and said in his press conference on Friday that Corberan's would-be successor has the tools to match the Spaniard's achievements last term of the Championship play-offs.
Former captain Brunt, who works at the club as loans manager and was initially signed by Mowbray in 2007, also pointed to the January transfer window and how it can be an important mid-season boost - especially in the wake of Josh Maja's leg injury ruling him out for a couple of months this week.
"We've got a good squad of players," Brunt said. "I don't think that was under any doubt. Carlos getting the club into the play-offs last year was a great achievement. There isn't any reason why somebody coming in now couldn't achieve that again.
"There are still a couple of weeks left of the transfer window and I'm sure there'll be a couple of ins and outs - whether that's ASAP or in the last minute.
"I'm sure there'll be a couple of fresh faces and maybe a couple move on, that's normally what happens. Hopefully they benefit us in the last half of the season.
"The lads have been good. It's been very different the last couple of weeks in the number of games they've had. Carlos was a pretty intense coach and maybe it's been a little less intense because of the amount of games, but they've applied themselves really well.
"They've all cracked on, which is all you can ask when you're holding the fort."
Away from the 5-1 Cup defeat at Bournemouth, Brunt and co. have overseen one victories, one defeat and two draws - the latter which saw hosts Swansea snatch a last-gasp draw.
"If we can get a result tomorrow (against Stoke)...if you take away the cup game and the first 45 minutes at Derby, everybody has given everything they've got and I've been really pleased with everything," Brunt added.
"The players and staff at the club have come together in a difficult period, over the holidays. The response has been great and if we can round it off with a win against Stoke, that would be great."
