Davies tragically passed days before Christmas, with donations having raised over £10,000 to help his family.

He was described by former manager Leon Pugh as having a style and look which ‘mirrored Cristiano Ronaldo’.

Pugh said: “As a club we have always felt like a family, and always pull together in sad times like these and to contribute to Luke’s GoFundMe page was just a small token of appreciation to a player who has and will always be fondly remembered by the club.

“All at the club send out our sincere condolences out to the family at these tough times.

“The gaffers, Mark and Doug, straight away took notice of Luke due to his raw talent. His style and look mirrored CR7. Slicked back hair, big diamond earring in one ear and loads of stepovers in his skill set.

“Luke as a youth was shy, but confident in his ability and was a very likeable character with his teammates.

“Luke’s hard work and ability gave Mark and Doug no choice other than to integrate this young lad into the first team. An ever-present lad where needed, and over the years Luke’s confidence on and off the field grew.

“Constantly full of jokes, constantly winding his team mates up with his infectious banter, which would lighten up any changing room and leave his pals in laughter.”
