Everton 0 Aston Villa 1: Player ratings as star midfielder leads way for consistent Villa
Villa ended a run of five away league defeats to make it a winning farewell in their final Premier League clash at Everton.
Express & Star sports reporter Lewis Cox dishes out the marks as Unai Emery's men climbed to seventh and within two points of fifth with the victory.
Emi Martinez
Got away with one or two pieces of sloppy possession that did not convince. Held on to Doucoure effort with routine stop otherwise not tested with efforts. Got away with one corner later in contest. 6
Matty Cash
Busy, front-footed display from the right-back who was keen to support Villa's attackers in the final third. Ndiaye preferred to drift infield so Cash was not tested as much defensively on the flank. Did his job. 6
Ezri Konsa
Ball in behind defender for Calvert-Lewin miss but otherwise defended astutely. Battled in to win ball as Everton pressed hard, a challenge which led to Watkins' opener. The standout in a fine display by the rearguard in rare away shutout. 7
