The home side’s first win since October ends a seven-game losing streak where they conceded three times as many points as they scored.

Tries for the visitors came from Simon Clarke and George Tildesley, however it wasn’t enough for Carolians to avoid successive defeats for the first time since September.

Ollie Croft scored the first of the home side’s six tries against a fifth-placed Kidderminster side with five wins in their last six games, which Dylan Shrehorn promptly converted.

Harry Taft’s penalty opened Carolians’ account, with his conversion shortly taking the lead.

Stafford’s Rob Jones reclaimed the lead, and the home side went into the break 12-10 ahead.

Kayden Robinson, Charlie Collier, Dan Watts and Shrehorn all touched down in the second half as Stafford secured the victory.

They are now level on points with 11th-placed Willenhall, who they travel to for their next fixture.

In Counties Two Midlands West (West), Stourbridge Lions’ imperious form continued as they beat third-placed Bromyard 32-12 to go nine points clear at the top of the division.

Their unbeaten season continued thanks to tries from Dmitri Morrison, Ben Furber, Rowan Dickinson, Will Bishop and Haydn Link.

They go into their next game against midtable Clee Hill with a points difference of 341 – second-placed Trentham have only 42.

Walsall Seconds struggled at home in a 48-22 loss against Trentham and remain second from bottom of the table.

Adam Nunney, Nico Watkins and Xavier Massyn all touched down for the struggling hosts, who will be hopeful of a win in their next game against last-placed Market Drayton.
