The Pics continued their 100 per cent winning start to 2025 and backed up their victories against Kidderminster Harriers and Farsley Celtic with another scalp.

This one came in dramatic fashion after they trailed inside 10 minutes as Danny Whitehall tapped home from close range.

But manager Richard Sneekes went to his bench at half-time and introduced Ben Wodskou for his debut.

And in the 58th minute, he drew the Pics level with one of his first touches for the club.

The turnaround was complete almost 20 minutes from time when another substitute Sam Manton fired home in the 69th minute to ensure they led for the first time in the match.

And manager, Richard Sneekes, gave his thoughts on a nervy final few moments as they held on for victory.

He said: "I normally do not get too excited about things in life but I think my heart rate must have been 120 for the last 15 minutes.

"It was a great turnaround, again our little Achilles heel showed up in the first half and you think it is going to be one of those days where we are not learning and keep making the same mistakes but fair play to the boys.

"I had to make a couple of changes that I felt needed - it is always hard to take someone off at half-time, but I just felt tactically I had to make a change.

"The boys understand. I think if you talk to them respectfully, they know that all I do is for the good of the team. Ben (Wodskou) came on and scored, and then Mants (Sam Manton) came on, and we scored again.

"Magic touch at the moment."

The win means they are now three points from safety with Farsley sitting in 20th place - they have played more games than anyone else around them.

All the other games across the region were called off due to the cold weather which swept across the UK over the weekend.

The only other match to take place saw Sporting Khalsa lose 1-0 at home to league leaders Quorn in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.

Cain Noble got the goal for the visitors just after the hour mark meaning they extended their gap at the top of the table to 19 points. Khalsa take on Rugby Town next weekend.
