Joe Wildsmith 5
In for just his second start for Albion, and looked steady early on, making a couple of saves. Ended up being a tough afternoon. Got a strong hand to the first goal but not strong enough, and then it was a similar story with the fifth.
Darnell Furlong 5
Did okay in the first half but overall it was a difficult afternoon for Albion's backline. Picked up a yellow card in the second half, firing into a tackle in frustration and that kind of summed up the feeling of the day for the Baggies.
Mason Holgate 4
A real afternoon to forget for Holgate. Let his man in far too easily for the second Bournemouth goal, and for the third when Albion were hit on the break he was found wanting. Prior to that a rash tackle almost led to a penalty but the foul was deemed to be outside the box.
Caleb Taylor 6
A bittersweet afternoon for the academy graduate. Started really well, settled into the game and then headed his side in front. Largely did okay, but struggled in a few areas. Almost handed Bournemouth a goal with a bad mistake in possession. But for a first outing back at Albion, he showed some positive signs.
Callum Styles 5
Defensively he was caught out of position a number of times in the first period, with the Cherries getting a lot of joy down the left. But technically, arguably one of Albion's better players going forward. Created a handful of openings down the left hand side, but couldn't find a cross into the box.
