Wolverhampton set for more post festive racing

With cancellations across the country following severe weather in the past few days, there will be nine races on this card, starting at 4:30pm and running until 8:30pm. In total, there will be five Class 6s, three Class 5s and a single Class 4 contest, which is a 6f handicap for 4yo+ horses.

The form of BANKRUPT's latest second in a C&D handicap has been boosted since (the winner and third both won next time) and he may well go one better if in a similar mood. Savalas was only ninth behind Autumn Angel here last time but was successful on his penultimate start and, armed with a handy pull at the weights, is taken to reverse those placings with Tony Carroll's charge and emerge as the main danger.

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and ASH WEDNESDAY looks the way to go on the back of his very good recent C&D second. Silky Robin made a good start for his new yard when fourth at Chelmsford City recently and is feared most ahead of C&D winner Kenstone.
