Star duo set to return to city for first fights of 2025
BCB Promotions is to return to the Hangar Venue in Wolverhampton for 'March Madness'.
Wolverhampton Boxing Club duo Ollie Cooper (9-0) and Gully Powar (11-0) will both see their first action of the year on Friday, March 7, after a stellar 2024.
A stunning display in November saw Cannock-born Cooper win the Midlands Area super middleweight title, stopping champion Liam O'Hare in six rounds.
Powar, who is from Wolverhampton, successfully made the step up to eight rounds in the same venue in October, continuing his remarkable streak of having not lost a single one of his 56 completed rounds as a pro.
Bloxwich's Ryan Woolridge (11-0) is banging on the title shot door himself and looked superb in his first venture to the eight-round distance with a shutout win against Connor Meanwell. The rangy southpaw is looking for another active year as he moves towards major fights.
Brandon Bethell (4-1) will be looking to bounce back in style following a surprise loss to Jahfieus Faure on a narrow points decision in October. The TMA Trojan-trained lightweight is a hugely popular ticket seller, and he is already training harder than ever ahead of this one.
Fresh off her well-deserved Midlands Area female prospect of the year nomination, Wolverhampton’s Mia Holland (1-0) boxes at home for the first time. The latest out of the Richie Ghent production line, big things are expected from her.
Completing the line-up is Burntwood’s Jack Finlan (1-0), who like Holland also got off to a bright start in the paid ranks, defeating Simas Volosinas in his debut in October.
Tickets are available now, priced at £45 standard and £80 VIP ringside, from the boxers directly or by emailing info@bcb-promotions.com
