Energetic central midfielder Molumby, 25, agreed a new three-year contract at The Hawthorns with an extension taking him through to 2028.
His existing deal was due to expire at the end of the season.
Molumby is in good form for managerless Albion and looked to have played a key part in the clash at Swansea just hours after his new deal was confirmed. The midfielder won the ball on halfway and charged towards the box before a cool pass fed Tom Fellows, who finished well at the near post in the second half.
But Joe Allen's late header for the hosts meant a share of the spoils.
Speaking about the decision to tie down Molumby for the years ahead, interim head coach Chris Brunt confirmed the midfielder's popularity.
"It's fair to say Jayson's been one of the more consistent players we've had all season," Brunt said.
"He wears his heart on his sleeve every day. He goes out and gives his all in training, every game. He never stops and that's the sort of player you want in your team and squad.
"The lads all love him. He's a character, he's got a bit about him and it's great for the football club to tie him down."
Molumby has made a central midfield role his own in recent weeks having spent a part of the season battling out with Uros Racic to partner Alex Mowatt.
Two seasons ago the Republic of Ireland international was named Albion player of the season.
His season ended at Swansea on New Year's Day in 2024 when a broken foot caused him to miss the final five months of the season.
Molumby follows right-back Darnell Furlong as those out of contract at the end of the season to pen new deals. Kyle Bartley - who has an appearance-related 12 month option - John Swift, Grady Diangana and Semi Ajayi also see terms expire.
