The Brazilian will serve a two-match suspension after being charged by the governing body and has now been granted time off by the club to return to his homeland.
Pereira says the attacker requested to return home to fix a personal issue, meaning he will not be in attendance at Molineux on Monday night as Wolves take on Nottingham Forest.
"I used to say that I give credit to my players, I have credit in my pocket, and I give credit to them," Pereira said.
"And they must pay me the credit (back), this is the commitment I want to have with my players.
"You can create the confidence if you give to me, something I give to you.
