The forward was charged by the FA following his outburst at full-time in the defeat to Ipswich in mid-December, where he appeared to elbow an opposition staff member before ripping glasses off his face.

Cunha was not punished by the officials at the time, but later charged by the governing body.

The Brazilian was given a few days to respond to the charge but Wolves did not hear back from the FA before the trip to Leicester, the Boxing Day clash against Manchester United or the game at Spurs, as evidence was being gathered.

That meant Cunha was free to play in all three games, as he scored against both the Foxes and United before coming off injured at half-time against Spurs.
