Only once in 105 years have the Baggies won a league game away at the Rams - thank you Rob Hulse - and that crazy sequence continued with a 2-1 Boxing Day reverse for the managerless visitors.

We have a look at some of the talking points in the debrief.

Off the pace

Albion paid for a really poor first half in the east Midlands. The visitors' use of the ball was sloppy more often than not and just as damaging was the ocean of space Derby so often enjoyed while attacking, especially in counter-attacks. Jerry Yates' opener came as no surprise.

Interim head coach Chris Brunt said afterwards most of the preparation for the clash was done by Corberan and his staff before their departure, with Damia Abella still among the Baggies' caretaker clan. For large parts it certainly did not feel like a Corberan performance.

Credit Albion, because they improved after the break following a half-time change, but a bad error from Torbjorn Heggem for the second goal came at the worst possible time when a head of steam was building and changes were imminent.
