Lowe opened the scoring with a stunning effort from distance before his strike partner Albert Adomah pulled the seal on the win 21 minutes from time to send Walsall six points clear at the summit.

The 19-year-old extended his tally to 13 across all competitions and reached double figures in the league to move to within one goal of leading scorers Michael Cheek and Matty Stevens (both on 11) in the race for the golden boot.

The Stoke City loanee has been directly involved in 19 goals (six assists) across all competitions this term - more than any other player in the EFL's three divisions.

And Sadler has been pleased with his all-round game, not just his formidable record in front of goal.

Sadler said: "He has hit it cleanly and Nathan has got a lovely clean strike on him. It was a fantastic goal. I enjoyed that one from his perspective because it was into the wind and really difficult conditions. It settled the game down from our perspective.

"He probably felt like he could've had more (at Harrogate) because you know what he's like.

"He picks himself up in good positions and he's constantly running for the team. He's a nightmare to play against because he doesn't stop.

"Nathan was really well supported by Albert (Adomah) who ran himself into the ground as well."
