Alex Palmer 7

Almost had a disaster in the first half when he fired a pass out straight to a visiting attacker. But did what he had to do after that, one close range save in the first half and one from distance in the second

Darnell Furlong 7

A key outlet for Albion because of that link up with Fellows down the right. Defensively really sound and is part of a back four that just look so solid at the moment.

Mason Holgate 7

Making the position his own again now. Had to contend with a really strong wind in the first half, but did well to read the ball. Only blot was he got caught down the left in the second half but Albion managed to recover.

Kyle Bartley 8

Did well in the first half conditions. Commanding display from the captain, who produced a big block in the second half to dig his centre back partner out of trouble. Also pulled out a top class cross field ball for a Fellows chance.

Torbjorn Heggem 8

Superb yet again from the summer signing. His reading of the game is so good, and he rarely gets caught out of position. Had a couple of blocked efforts in the first half and contributed going forward.

Alex Mowatt 8

The best protector of a ball in the division. He just never gives it away. His usual performance, driving forward and was pivotal in the way Albion played out from the back all through the game.

Jayson Molumby 7

Another rough and tumble performance from the midfield man. Almost set Maja up early doors and was making those forward driving runs in the first half. Fortunate not to concede a penalty in the first period.

Tom Fellows 8

Dangerous every time he got the ball. Produced what he has done all season with the cross for the goal. Even when he isn't absolutely flying he is still a threat. Had a big chance in the second half but just had the ball nicked off his toes.

John Swift 7

Handed a start with Grant out and took his chance. In the first period he didn't see an awful lot of the ball, but in the second he was really affective, as Albion launched attack after attack in some areas. Has posed a question to Corberan now.

Mikey Johnston 9

Lively early on but sprung into life with a superb late run and header for the opener. Grew in confidence from there, and his second cutting in off the right was the Johnston of last season. Second half was equally as impressive.

Josh Maja 7

Some of his touches in the first half were first class. His hold up play as a big part of Albion's attacks, and he played a hand in the second goal build-up. Looked a bit more like himself.

Substitutes

54 - Uros Racic for Molumby,  rasping shot 6

Put himself about and had a rasping effort from distance palmed away.

73 - Jed Wallace for Fellows 6

Did a job and tracked back to put in a key tackle with Bristol City looking dangerous.

73 - Grady Diangana for Johnston 7

Didn't look rusty after a lay off. Looked sharp and set up Cole who really should have hit the target.

81 - Lewis Dobbin for Swift N/A

81 - Devante Cole for Maja N/A
