The Birmingham City loanee pulled up with the issue at the end of training on the eve of Walsall's 1-0 win over Barrow at Bescot last Saturday.

He has returned to his parent club to continue his rehabilitation after suffering his latest setback.

Sadler was unable to commit to a timeframe on Hall's injury after the game but has now confirmed that the 20-year-old is poised for a spell on the side lines.

He said: "George is back with Birmingham. I mentioned that the other day but it'll be six to eight weeks. Maybe a little bit more so we've just got to look after him with that.

"It is a blow. I've loved working with George. The injury is tough but he has once again proved how good he is.

"So when he comes back, he'll do the same again. He'll continue to show why the world of football sees him as such a fantastic athlete and player.

"When he comes back, we'll get him ready and do it the right way. Clearly we're gutted for him and gutted for us but most importantly he has shown what a player he is and he'll do that again when he's back."

Meanwhile, Brandon Comley has been out with a fractured cheekbone since late November and is still expected to be unavailable on the weekend.

The Montserrat international went to have a protective mask fitted on Thursday and Sadler is hopeful he will be in contention for the games over Christmas.
