Harrogate Town vs Walsall: Who's out and who's a doubt?

Jamie Jellis marked his return from a calf injury with a cameo from the bench in the 1-0 win over Barrow last weekend. 

He replaced Ryan Stirk, who was forced off in the 56th-minute due to illness, but is expected to be available in North Yorkshire. 

However, Mat Sadler still has a number of injuries and suspensions to contend with. Here is the latest round-up from the Essington treatment room. 

Jamille Matt - suspension (0%) 

Matt collected his fifth yellow card of the season during Walsall's victory over Barrow last weekend. 

The experienced frontman will serve a one-match suspension which will rule him out of the Saddlers' trip to Wetherby Road. 

He will be available again for the visit of Doncaster Rovers on Boxing Day. 

George Hall - hamstring (0%) 

Hall missed the win over Barrow after sustaining a hamstring issue in training on the eve of the game. 

The midfielder, who has been plagued by a series of hamstring injuries over the past 18 months, had previously started the past three league games. 

Sadler was initially unable to commit to a time frame but has since confirmed that the Birmingham City loanee will miss at least "six to eight weeks". 

He said: " George is back with Birmingham. I mentioned that the other day but it'll be six to eight weeks. Maybe a little bit more so we've just got to look after him with that."

Brandon Comley - cheekbone (0%) 

Comley suffered a fractured cheekbone during Walsall's 4-0 defeat against Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup last month. 

Sadler originally earmarked a potential "four to six week" absence although he issued a further update last week confirming that he could be back within "two to three weeks". 

Comley was being fitted with a protective mask on Thursday and Sadler is hopeful he could be involved at some point over the Christmas period. 

The Walsall boss revealed: "Brandon is being fitted with a mask today. So all being equal I'd like to hope he'll be available for some of the Christmas games." 

Josh Gordon - hamstring (0%) 

Josh Gordon remains on course for a potential return after the New Year following a four-month absence due to a hamstring injury. 

The striker has not featured since limping off during Walsall's 2-1 win over Cheltenham Town on August 31. 

He required an operation on the injury but is currently continuing the next stage of his rehabilitation on the grass at Essington. 

Gordon underwent a successful scan around a fortnight ago and could be available by mid-January. 

"Josh is where we want him to be. He's on his way back," the Walsall boss said earlier this month.

"He will be back towards the back end of January by the time he's back in contention to play." 

Priestley Farquharson - thigh (0%) 

Farquharson has suffered a setback on his road to recovery from a thigh injury which has kept him out since August. 

The defender, who has been plagued by injuries during his 18 months at Walsall, was targeting a return after the New Year. 

Sadler revealed last month that he had participating in the warm-up in training for the first time as he edged closer to a return. 

But the centre-back went to see a specialist last week and is now expected to spend a further two months out of action. 

Sadler revealed: "Priestley unfortunately had a setback last week. He saw a specialist on Wednesday whose confirmed it's a decent setback. 

"So he's probably looking at another couple of months on the side lines which is a real kick in the teeth for him. 

"We're gutted for him and will need to rally around him."
