The boss insisted his only focus is on Albion and Sunday's visit of Bristol City.

It is believed the Saints to admire Albion's head coach but it is understood the Baggies have not fielded an approach for their head coach.

Corberan has fielded questions about reported interest from Leicester and Albion's rivals Wolves in recent weeks and the Spaniard admitted he was wary of giving the wrong impression to supporters and causing any type of "disrespect" to the club and its fans.

Asked about the speculation on Thursday afternoon, Corberan replied:  "For me it is disrespectful for this great club and our amazing fans to be talking about something that is not related to West Bromwich Albion.

"Sometimes I feel that if you cut (my comments) to say 'I only focus on the game' and I don't talk about anything else - there can be speculation about this!

"I can only tell you that my full focus is to prepare the next game and I  don't like that our fans or anyone else at this club can feel any type of disrespect with all of these rumours that can appear.

"I am clear on this, so I am going to speak about Bristol, about what we are going to do in the club, that I can control, because there are things I cannot control and I cannot talk about things I cannot control."

Other bosses linked to the St Mary's post are Sheffield Wednesday's Danny Rohl and former Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand.

Corberan is contracted at The Hawthorns until 2027 and any interest would require meeting a buyout clause in the Spaniard's contract, understood to be at least £3million.
