The 41-year-old has been relieved of his duties following the late 2-1 defeat to Ipswich, in which Wolves suffered a 93rd minute goal.
Wolves are 19th in the Premier League with just nine points from 16 games, of which they have lost 11.
The club are on a run of four consecutive losses following the defeat to Ipswich, after losing 4-2 to Bournemouth, 4-0 at Everton and 2-1 at West Ham.
