According to journalist Peter O'Rourke, Sadler is under consideration for the vacancies at both clubs after Walsall's promotion pushing start to the League Two season.

Neil Harris left his post at Millwall following a defeat at Middlesbrough on Tuesday to signal the end of his second spell at the club while Jon Brady stepped down at Northampton earlier this month.

Walsall extended their lead at the top of League Two to four points with a 1-0 victory over Barrow at Bescot on Saturday with Taylor Allen scoring a first half decider.

When asked about the speculation surrounding his future, Sadler said: "That's part of football isn't it. People talk and we've got a hell of a job to do here and I'm really enjoying it.

"That's the main thing. Football's football. People do well and other things get said about them. That's the case and I hope that's the case for my players too.

"But it's just part of it and I'm very much aware of the job I've got to do here."

The Saddlers are guaranteed top spot at Christmas and extended their unbeaten run in the league to 10 games with a third win on the spin in League Two.

They extended their lead at the League Two summit to four points after Port Vale drew 0-0 at Bromley on the weekend.
