West Brom to check on in-form Karlan Grant for Watford trip
In-form Albion attacker Karlan Grant has been rated a doubt for Sunday's trip to Watford.
Grant netted an important second goal in Wednesday's 2-0 win over Coventry as he continues to impress in a fine individual campaign.
But boss Carlos Corberan admitted Grant is feeling the effects of a number of games and has fatigue around his hamstring area ahead of Albion's Hornets clash.
Corberan said in his press conference: "The player we have that is a doubt is Grant because after the last game he was feeling fatigued and is not in his normal condition today, but still we have time. Let's say he is a doubt.
"It is not an injury, the fact he has played too many games his hamstrings feel fatigued and tired but every 24 hours counts to make the right decision. If he doesn't recover well he will be out. If he recovers well he will be in, if he recovers very well he can start the game."
While Grant's doubt is a blow, Albion could finally have fellow attacker Grady Diangana back in contention. Corberan, though, sounded a warning that Diangana had also trained two days before the midweek Coventry clash before feeling discomfort the day before the game.
The hope is that Diangana, on his way back from calf discomfort, can come through Saturday training OK.
"Grady has trained today but we have to wait until tomorrow because the previous game trained but the last training before the game he couldn't," added the head coach. "We have training today so let's see how he reacts tomorrow. He trained well today but I cannot make any conclusion."
Corberan confirmed defender Kyle Bartley is in contention to start after he was limited to just the final 20 minutes against the Sky Blues. Josh Maja, taken off at half-time, has also had suffient recovery time.
