Hodgetts-Still's Baggies, who play in the third tier of the women's football pyramid, will travel to face United in the fourth round in the new year.

Manchester United won their first Women's FA Cup crown last season, having demolished Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 at Wembley in May.

Marc Skinner's United side play in the Women's Super League, the top flight, and are currently fourth. Albion, of the National Northern Premier Division, saw off Cheadle Town Stingers 2-0 in Sunday's third round.

"It's a dream draw for us to be taking on the reigning champions away from home," Hodgetts-Still said.

"It'll be a great experience for the players and the staff and one which we are all really, really looking forward to.

"We know we've got a huge challenge in front of us, but we're determined to put on a positive performance, show what we can do and give our all.

“This is the magic of the FA Cup. I know the players already can’t wait for the game and it’s certainly going to be an occasion to remember."

The tie will take place on the weekend of January 11 and 12 with an exact date and ticket details to be confirmed.

Albion are currently eighth in their division of 12. They have a Black Country Derby to get stuck into against league rivals Wolves on Sunday at their Valley Stadium home in Redditch in the Birmingham County Cup (3pm).

United Women's home ground is Leigh Sports Village in Greater Manchester.

Among the Red Devils' ranks is former Albion defender Lucy Newell. The teen defender, 18, signed her first professional deal in October having departed Albion after almost a decade at the club she supports.

Centre-back Newell, from a family of Baggies fans, has also captained England under-19s.

United defender Evie Rabjohn is the younger sister of Albion winger Olivia, though Evie is currently recovering from an ACL injury sustained on international duty in the summer. Both previously played for Villa.
