The Baggies have been the Championship's draw specialists this term and more often than not have struggled to score the goals required to turn draws into victories.
A barren spell of wins has left sections of the supporters feeling Albion's style is negative and that Corberan's game plan is to set up to defend after taking the lead in matches.
The head coach passionately refuted that claim and stressed it has not happened on any occasion.
"The people can believe you or they cannot believe you - when the results are no good it is difficult to believe in your coach," Corberan told the Express & Star after Sunday's 2-2 draw against Sheffield United. "When the results are excellent everyone thinks you are a genius.
"In no single moment have we have changed the game plan when we have scored a goal, there is no possibility for us to change.
"In fact, we pressed after we scored the first goal, we pressed and recovered the ball, we had a finish with Grant when he shot but had Styles and Johnston on the left and could have made a pass. Probably sometimes you make the wrong decisions because you have to show your intention is to score and not to protect the result.
"The best way you have in football to protect the result is to keep doing the things that are helping you win the game. This team, in no single moment, has changed."
Albion were undone by two Blades goals in as many minutes having dominated and deservedly led from the opening half hour at The Hawthorns.
Callum O'Hare equalised from close range and, moments later, a rare Torbjorn Heggem error in passing out from the back was pounced upon and Tyrese Campbell netted.
Corberan insisted that the kind of build-up in which Heggem lost possession was the football Albion had been using to dominate and he did not want to see his side change from that.
"What happened is they (Sheffield United) used one moment well in the box," Corberan said.
"After the accident - our mistake after Heggem had been making unbelievable passes - asking Heggem to play long, you can ask me why have we changed the game plan? The mistake arrived because we tried to do the same things that helped us to win - press, attack, break the press, the same.
"But in three minutes the same things that were working didn't work and a team with the level of attack they had has enough to score two goals.
"Is it frustrating? Yes. But me as a coach, I cannot tell you the game plan was to score and defend. Sorry, but no. If we conceded it was because we couldn't score another and couldn't keep the concentration to protect the result. From this everyone can make their own conclusion but now you know the truth."
