The 18-year-old replaced an injured Cameron Belford in net during the 38th-minute.

The academy product has trained and been apart of the first team for the last three years, and Belford said he received applause in the changing room after Stafford’s emphatic win against the northern one west basement boys.

Belford said: “Jack was magnificent. The situation for him to come on at 0-0, we concede, but that kid deserves massive credit.

“He has been here a long time and around the first team since he was 16. This day is for him more than anybody.

“He has got a round of applause from everybody in the dressing room.

“He trains tirelessly, he works really hard, never misses a training session, he is never late.

“If that’s any example to a young player who has stuck by it, today Jack Sandal deserves everything and that win is for him.”

The Rangers were behind by a goal at the break, but went on to hammer the fellow relegation zone side - scoring five times in the last 25-minutes.

Joe cuff netted a hat-trick in front of the Shed End as defender Scott Wara also claimed two goals upon his return from an international call-up for Fiji.

James McQuilkin completed the scoring late-on and the Rangers moved within a point of safety from the drop zone.

Elsewhere in the league, Hednesford Town salvaged a point with a late goal against Wythenshawe Town.

Chinedu Uche had given the visitors a 29th minute lead, but Hednesford recovered in the 85th minute through Manny Duku to snatch a point.

Chasetown did secure victory against the other Wythenshawe side, beating them 3-0.

Danny Glover's first half penalty just before the break opened the scoring for the visitors, before finishes from Joe Dunne and Joey Buckley secured the points.

In the Northern One Midlands, Sporting Khalsa were beaten 3-1 by Shepshed Dynamo.
