Non-league round-up: Derby day drama lights up fixture
Kieren Donnelly completed a dramatic brace with a late equaliser to salvage Halesowen Town a dramatic point at Stourbridge in the 'number nine' derby.
Yeltz started strongly in the Southern Central Premier clash and after a period of pressure they eventually took the lead through Donnelly just after the half hour mark when he capitalised on a failed clearance in the box.
Russ Penn's side had done a good job of managing the occasion and looked set for three points, until Stourbridge staged a late fightback.
Glassboys captain Joel Kettle bundled the ball home after a long throw in from Alex Worley, to make it 1-1 in the 82nd minute.
Just seven minutes later Stourbridge thought they had secured all three points when former Wolves academy attacker Ethan McLeod headed in from a corner, completing the hosts' remarkable turnaround.
But Donnelly had the final say in the 96th minute when Donnelly smashed in an equaliser from a tight angle in dramatic scenes for his 17th goal of the season.
"We shouldn't have put ourselves in a losing position with a minute of normal time to go", Yeltz boss Penn said.
"We should have put the game out of sight with the chances we had, but we showed great character to come back and earn something.
"For 75, 80 minutes I thought we were excellent, looked like a proper team and for 80 minutes managed the game really well. It was a proper ding-dong battle but we were the better team on the day and gave them a proper game.
"The dominance and character we showed today is a real positive looking forward, we came for three points but in the circumstances we will take a point at a tough place to come to."
Meanwhile, in the National League North, Kidderminster Harriers battled to a 1-0 win over Leamington at Aggborough.
Phil Brown's side recovered from the 4-0 loss to King's Lynn Town on Tuesday to put in a gritty display on home turf.
After wasting a number of chances, the goal finally came on the hour mark when former Walsall defender Joe Foulkes met Ashley Hemmings' cross to head home at the far post.
Getting back on track, after their unbeaten run was ended in mid-week, keeps Harriers in the promotion picture and leaves them fourth in the division with a game in hand on most teams around them.
Elsewhere in the league, Rushall Olympic fell to a convincing loss as they continue to struggle at the bottom of the table.
Travelling to Hereford, the hosts took a 63rd minute lead before sealing the win with two added time goals in the 92nd minute and 95th minute.
Rushall sit rock bottom of the division with three wins, three draws and 13 losses in 19 league games so far this season.
With just 12 points to their name, they are four points clear of Needham Market in 23rd, and eight points clear of Farsley Celtic who sit just outside the relegation zone.
