The Dudley-born snooker star ended a 13-month title drought to lift the trophy for a record-extending seventh time and for the first time since 2019.

Evans conquered four of the world's top 10 including three of the top five seeds to reach her second ranking event final of the season.

The 12-time world champion progressed beyond the group stage with wins over Deborah Fladgate, Annamaria Wilkins and Wing Man Shiu before knocking out Tessa Davidson and Rebecca Kenna without losing a frame.

That set-up a tasty semi-final clash against reigning world champion Bai Yulu who Evans beat 4-2 to book her place in the final against world number one Nutcharut.

In a topsy turvy affair, Evans twice came from behind and eventually took a 3-2 lead after taking fifth frame.

Nutcharut responded with a match-high break of 60 to force a deciding frame but Evans sealed the win with a dominant performance in the final frame.

"Back to winning ways finally," he wrote on social media platform Bluesky. "[It's been a long time, I was able to cue a little more this weekend.

"[I] played okay in patches and had some good wins against the talented young guns."
