Liam Gordon fired Walsall into the lead on 40 minutes with a powerful effort into the roof of the net.

Bromley responded with goals from Michael Cheek and Danny Imray after the break before David Okagbue rescued a draw in the dying stages.

Sadler said: "There wasn't much in the game and it was a really tough League Two battle and a war of attrition.

"A lot of the games that Bromley play in are like that and credit to them because they're all aligned in the way that they want to play.

"We found a way of not leaving here without something and sometimes those points, when you look back, you think, that was a tough point but what a character we've got to come through it.

"For Taylor to put the ball on the money in the way that he did and for us to get our noses back into the game with the last kick of the game. I can't fail but be disappointed that we don't win but pleased with the heart and the desire that the lads did to keep going."

David Okagbue salvaged a point in the final seconds when he scrambled the ball over the line from Taylor Allen's corner.

The Republic of Ireland under-21 international also inadvertently collected an assist for Liam Gordon's opener just days after setting up Nathan Lowe's winner at AFC Wimbledon.

Sadler was delighted for Okagbue to grab the equaliser but revealed the reaction of his players in the dressing room highlights the standards they've set of themselves this season.

He added: "I'm buzzing for Dave and for Taylor because to deliver a ball like that knowing that it's probably the last kick of the game takes some bottle.

"That was especially pleasing to get that near post flick on. The group deserve their bit of luck because they give everything everyday.

"When I came into the dressing room just there, it was deathly silent and you may not expect that as we've just had a last minute equaliser.

"But it was deathly silent because the group have set their standards and we felt like we weren't quite there tonight. But when you're not quite there, to go and make sure you get something is very important."
