Wolves picked up back-to-back Premier League wins and their first on their travels this season thanks to a dominant second half display.
The head coach has been under presser of late but he says the players deserve their reward and the fans deserve it for sticking by the team.
“I was really pleased for the fans and the players who have both suffered some tough weeks recently," O'Neil said.
“I wanted to make sure that fans and players both enjoyed that. It was a moment that they should enjoy because there have been some tough moments.
“There's been a lot of hard work and we've never shown any cracks.
“We've always kept working, always kept really humble and honest and fought to try to turn the situation around and this was a step in the right direction today.
