Wimbledon climbed to within a point of the League Two play-off places after coming from two goals behind in the latter stages of their 2-2 draw against Accrington Stanley on Tuesday.

Alistair Smith halved the deficit in the penultimate minute of regulation time before James Tilley salvaged a draw with a dramatic 97th-minute equaliser.

That result followed a 3-1 victory over Barrow in Cumbria last weekend and Jackson has been pleased with the character that his side continues to show.

"I praise the resolve of the boys and the character to keep going. I said that points like this hopefully down the line and you look back and say remember the game when we were two down in the 88th minute against Accy and we dug a point out," he told the club.

"It puts us a point closer to where we want to be obviously wanted three. We know that would've put us in the play-off spots but it's pushed us up to eighth, we're a point outside with a couple of games behind.

"So we're in a really good position, a really positive position, and we still would've been in a decent enough position if we had lost but it wouldn't have felt like that."

Omar Bugiel, who scored a hat-trick in the corresponding fixture last season, will be available after returning from international duty along with Myles Hippolyte.

Joe Lewis will also be eligible again after serving a one-match suspension in midweek although Wimbledon skipper Jake Reeves remains a doubt after missing the past seven games due to injury.

Elsewhere, Norwegian winger Aaron Sasu is not expected to be involved as he continues to recover from a long-term hamstring injury.
