The 22-year-old, who joined Wolves for £35million in 2020, was called up at the weekend after Portugal had already qualified for the quarter-finals of the Nations League.
They played Croatia yesterday and Silva came off the bench in the 1-1 draw to earn his first senior cap.
Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa and defender Nelson Semedo both played the full 90 minutes in which Chelsea's Joao Felix opened the scoring before Manchester City's Josko Gvardiol equalised in the second half.
