The Austrian striker has suffered two anterior cruciate ligament injuries since signing for Wolves in 2022, with the latest coming in February while on loan at German side Eintracht Frankfurt.

Kalajdzic has endured this serious injury three times in his playing career, but is closing in on training with Wolves again after months of rehabilitation following surgery.

Despite that, O'Neil has urged for caution and says the 27-year-old will need time.

"Sasa is doing very well on the grass and has been out there for a while now," O'Neil said.

"He's probably a few weeks away from re-joining the group."
