Goals in the 20th and 66th minute put the visitors firmly in control, with Lye languishing in the relegation zone.

But the hosts fought back and were given some hope when Sam Hall converted in the 91st minute.

That hope turned to jubilation three minutes later when Ewan Edwards equalised, securing his side a point.

Elsewhere in the Northern One Midlands, Darlaston Town beat Long Eaton United 1-0 thanks to a fifth minute goal from Tyler Bruck.

In the Southern Central Premier, Stourbridge were unable to break the deadlock against Banbury United, despite a strong performance, as they played out a 0-0 draw.

There were more goals in the Northern One West, however, as Hednesford Town put City of Liverpool to the sword with a comprehensive 4-0 win.

A Dominic McHale penalty opened the scoring after seven minutes before Manny Duku added a second before half-time.

Daniel Trickett-Smith scored Hednesford's third just three minutes into the second half before scoring his second and the Pitmen's fourth in the 85th minute.

Elsewhere in the league, struggling Stafford Rangers made a costly late error as they relinquished a lead to draw 1-1 at home to Trafford.

A late mistake from Sean Lawton allowed the visitors to equalise in the 88th minute, cancelling out Joe Cuff's opener, leaving Stafford without a win in four league games and three points from safety.

“I honestly believe that results will come,” boss Dale Belford said.

"I am not really looking at other teams, we have to concentrate on ourselves.

“We need to get settled in terms of a team and a structure. I think as we have seen over the last few games that we are a match for everybody, it’s just about that bit of ruthlessness at the top end of the pitch that we need to work on.

“We have got to start winning games of football to get out of the situation that we are in.

“Everybody who is in the dressing room wants to play, and everyone can play.

2We have players coming back and it’s going to need a collective effort to get us where we need to be and out of the situation we are in and to a stronger position.”
