Tividale suffer Sutton United defeat as trio condemned to FA Vase elimination

Tividale were knocked out of the FA Vase after suffering a 2-0 defeat at Sutton United in the second round.

Oli Jeeves opened the scoring five minutes after the restart before Joe Gildea doubled Sutton's advantage to seal the win. 

Stourport Swifts blew a two-goal lead as Clay Cross Town came from behind to win 4-3 and eliminate them from the competition. 

Ben Jevons, Darryl Knights and Jim Hanson scored for the Swifts but Clay Cross Town scored three late goals to complete a remarkable comeback.

Lichfield City suffered a heart breaking 4-3 penalty shoot-out defeat at Newark Town. Luke Anderson headed Newark into a 20th-minute lead before Liam Kirton took the tie to penalties with a 65th-minute equaliser.

Brocton moved to within four points of Midland Premier Division leaders Lichfield City with a 3-1 home win over Stone Old Alleynians. 

Josh Goodwin gave Stone Old Alleynians the lead on 15 minutes but second half strikes from Cam Osborne, Will Whieldon and Reg Smith secured Brocton's four straight win in all competitions.

AFC Wulfrunians emerged with a 3-0 home victory against Wolverhampton Casuals. Freddie Cockerell scored goals in either half to bag his brace before Craig Tuckley sealed a comprehensive win with a third 15 minutes from time.

Meanwhile, Harry Crook scored twice but was unable to prevent Dudley Town falling to a third straight defeat in a 4-2 loss against Studley.

Elsewhere, OJM Black Country were beaten 2-0 at 1874 Northwich with Josh Oultram and Joel Jones scoring for the hosts.

In Division One, Shaquille McDonald scored twice for league leaders Bilston Town as they drew 2-2 against Nuneaton Griff on home soil.

Kane Harrold and Brad Ward netted in Cradley's 2-2 draw at Saffron Dynamo while Wednesfield were condemned to a 5-0 defeat at Leicester St Andrews. 

Greg Mills scored twice for Leicester while goals from Andy Melville, Hne Wilson and Josh Crossley completed the rout. 

Elsewhere, Smethwick Rangers' trip to Ingles was postponed due to the hosts being in cup action.

In the North West Counties League Division One South, midtable Eccleshall came away with a 3-1 victory on the road at Abbey Hutton United. Mitchell Glover's opener from the spot was cancelled out by Kieran Brown's penalty kick but a second half double from Liam Hallam propelled them to victory.

League leaders Stafford Town progressed to the third round of the Edwards Case Cup after beating Stockport Georgians 9-8 on penalties at the end of a goalless draw.

Bewdley Town sit 13th in the Hellenic League Division One after drawing 1-1 at Kiddlington Reserves. Jack Bailey fired Bewdley into the lead on the cusp of half-time but Kiddlington equalised nine minutes from time to rescue a point.
